Snapchat in an effort to stay ahead of the social media war, has added a new feature called Crowd Surf to give Snapchatters a new way of sharing and streaming videos. Crowd Surf uses artificial intelligence to stitch or pieces together videos from various users or Snapchatters based on their audio, giving a seamless look at a live event into a much more watchable video. Crowd Surf basically analyses when several Snapchatters are recording a live performance at the same time, it then then pieces together the videos of different angles, to make it appears to play smoothly. The interest thing is that Snapchatters or users are able to choose which angle they want to watch the video or event from. The footage or video can be viewed for more than 10 seconds. Crowd Surf looks to be suitable for use in audio-centrist events like concerts and speeches.
The new feature is already available within Our Stories curated by Snapchat. It is soon expected to roll out globally. Crowd Surf is believed to be available at more public events like concerts in the near future. however, this feature will require more of Snapchatters recording or shooting and submitting video Snaps at the same time or moment. That's why this new fature could be limited to large events. Snapchatters will be able to see different angles of the same video footage by tapping a button in the right corner of the screen.
1. Open your Snapchat App as usual, Go to Stories, and view one of the Stories curated by Snapchat about a festival, sports event, or more.
2. If the Snap have a Crowd Surf or enabled Crowd Surf, it will have a Crowd Surf button or icon like this
. You can find this Crowd Surf icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
3. To view the Snap, tap on the Crowd Surf icon and to switch angles or perspectives tap the same button.
4. If you want to change the angles or viewpoints, just keep on tapping the Crowd Surf icon, it will change or go back to your original spot.
Please note that, you might not be able to Crowd Surf on every Our Story you watch.Only When it have the Crowd Surf icon or button, that's mean it is Crowd Surf. As mentioned earlier, this new feature will be limited to large events like music festivals, parades or sports events.

How to get Snapchat Crowd Surf
In order to enjoy and use this new feature, you will first need to update your Snapchat app to the latest version. You can get the latest version of Snapchat from your respective app store. if you are on Android, go to your Google Play Store app and look whether updates are available. If updates are available, tap on the update button to update your app to the latest version. Similarly, if you are on iOS or iPhone,open your iTunes App Store and tap on the Updates icon at the bottom of the screen. Click on the Updates icon, which is at the bottom right corner of the screen. Tap on the Update button to the right of the Snapchat to update. You will be prompted to enter your your Apple ID and password. Enter your credentials and Snapchat updates will be downloaded and automatically update itself.How To Crowd Surf on Snapchat or Use Snapchat Crowd Surf
