Snapchat Account Locked? How To Unlock Snapchat Account in 2 Easy Steps

You are here because most probably your Snapchat account has been Blocked or temporarily locked? No worries, we will work you through on how to unlock or get your Snapchat account back without creating new one and also a look at the possible reason for being getting your Snapchat account Blocked or Suspended.

Why Your Snapchat Account get Blocked? Why it Happened?

One of the possible reason why your Snapchat Account is Blocked is because your are using third party app to access Snapchat for using certain features which is illegal or Snapchat does not allow it at the moment. If you’re a fan of Snapchat and who would you like to use some Snapchat-oriented jailbreak tweaks like Phantom for Snapchat tweak, 6snap, Cydia tweak, GhostPref or SnapMoreText running and many more. These third party applications allows to do certain things like spoof locations, save media, set custom notifications sounds, and much more.

Please note that Snapchat in December 2015 has been cracking down on those accounts using third party applications. The Snapchat application now detects for tweaks specifically used to breaks Snapchat features or adds more functionalities to the app. Fortunately, the lock out isn’t permanent - at least not yet.

Third-party applications and plugins (or tweaks) are not supported by Snapchat and can compromise the security of your account. What are these third party apps? According to Snapchat- a third-party application is any app that isn't the official Snapchat application, but uses your Snapchat login information (username and password) to access Snapchat services. A plugin (or tweak) is an add-on that creates additional functionalities that are not included in the official Snapchat application.

Keep in mind that there is no official Snapchat client for Windows or Blackberry devices, so if you’re accessing Snapchat with one of those devices, you are using an unauthorized third-party application. To ensure the security of your account, please change your password.

You must uninstall any plugins or third-party applications before attempting to unlock your account, or it may be locked again. The use of third-party applications or plugins can lead to your account being permanently locked.

Another reason is Snapchat support is might be going crazy , this is a common problem that many Snapchat users have been facing in the recent months, ever since Snapchat has release frequent updates which may results in many Snapchat accounts being blocked temporarily.

Another reason is you are sending spam, unsolicited Snaps or messages in Chat, and other abusive behavior. If Snapchat detects that you are involved in such activities your Snapchat Account will be Blocked by Snapchat.

If you are adding too many friends when you haven’t verified your email or your phone number this may also results in the suspension of account.
How to Unlock Blocked Snapchat Account

Fortunately, Snapchat lockout is not permanent, which means your locked Snapchat account can still be recovered. Follow these instructions below:

If you are one of those Snapchatters most probably on Windows phone or even with iOS or Android, using third party apps like 6snap and Phanton and others, please make sure to uninstall them. If you try logging in before you uninstall any third-party Snapchat apps, your unlock button may be replaced by an error message saying “We are sorry, we were unable to process your request.”

Please note that accounts temporarily locked for 3rd party app usage can take up to 1 day to unlock according to Snapchat’s support.

1. Remove any third party Snapchat apps or tweaks you have installed on your device lke Phantom, 6snap etc.
If you are on iPhone: Go to Cydia → Tap on Install from bottom → Tap on Phantom Cydia Tweak → Tap on Modify → Tap on Remove from Pop-up options.
2. Uninstall or Remove Snapchat App from your Device
3. Once uninstalled, again download the latest version of Snapchat from your respective app store.

1. Head over to https://www.snapchat.com/unlock and enter your login information. Follow the on screen instructions carefully to submit details.
2. Once you filled your details, Click on the big yellow Unlock button
3. Snapchat will most likely unlock your account and send you a fresh password with which to login. Login with this password and then change the password for security.
4. If it is success, now launch the app on your device and it should log you back in as normal.
5. Still getting "Error To Unlock” message? If this is the case, now the ball is the Snapchat’s court. You can directly send an email to Snapchat about your problem, wait for them to respond. If no response, you can tweet about the issue and tag@snapchatsupport.

If all the above instructions failed, try turning off your internet connection by putting your phone or tablet into an Airplane mode and turn it back On. Alternatively, try using your cellular connection only, or your Wi-Fi connection only. At last resort, restart your iPhone with a hard reboot.

Your Network is Blocked?

This is one common error message that some Snapchatters often received. This problem can be caused by spam or other prohibited uses of Snapchat suspected of originating from the IP address you are using. If you have been using Snapchat normally, it's possible that someone else using the same service provider is responsible for the suspicious activity.

IP blocking is usually temporary and will go away on its own sometime after the suspicious activity is no longer detected. If you faced this problem follow the instructions below to resolve the issue.

1. If you are using a VPN service, you can switch it off and on.
2. If you are not using a VPN, try switching to a different network. Try changing from Wi-Fi to your mobile data and or switching to a different Wi-Fi network or whatever services you are access to.

Still not working? Why not create a new Snapchat Account and start Snapping again.

Snapchat Number Meaning - How to Increase your Snapchat Score

If you're a big fan of Snapchat or you just started using Snapchat you might be wondering What are Snapchat Score or Snapchat Number exactly? Snapchat Score meaning? How do you get them? How to increase Snapchat Score? Basically, Snapchat points are awarded based on your Snapchat usage or your Snapchat activities. A lot of the details remain largely unknown - Snapchat appears to be keeping them under wraps.

Some people might have scores that range in the tens of thousands while others could be stuck in the hundreds. It has no real impact on your overall usage, but since it appears below your Snapchat QR code, you’re probably curious as to how it’s determined. Snapchat score serves one real purpose, to get people to use Snapchat more. Lets see What are Snapchat numbers or Scores? How Snapchat Score is calculated? and Snapchat Score meaning.

What is Snapchat Score? How it is calculated?

According to the Snapchat website, Snapchat Score is “the sum of the number of Snaps you have sent and received. Your score is displayed on the Profile screen next to your username”. It's as simple as that. So, that means the more snaps that you send out to friends and receive back from them, the higher your score will be.

Here’s some of my experiences, my Snapchat Score increases when I send out to my friends and receive back from them the scores increases. Adding more friends also effects the scoring and it increases as well, because more Snapchat interaction means the higher your Scores is.

Well, by observing at the Scores of different Snapchat users, this does not seem to apply. There is some logical explanation needed. Have you ever looked on your friends list, there is a “HISCORE” display against each username.

How to check Snapchat Score?

You can view your own Snapchat score by opening the app, tapping the square on the bottom left corner, then tapping where it says “Snapchat” at the top of the screen.

This will change to two numbers; the first number is how many snaps you have sent; the second number is now many snaps you have received in total.

Snapchat Score Meaning and Explanation

Snapchat’s official website says that the score is a total number of Snapchats sent and received between friends. Is really that simple? Trying to find this mystery behind the scores, I started to find answers on Google and forums and there was a popular theory going around saying that each Snapchat is worth 12 points, and if you send three Snapchats in a row to the same person, the continuing pictures are 20 points each. Again, this makes more complex than the official answer given by Snapchat.

Snapchat’s app is full of nuances and hidden features. Some of its features don’t seem to make any sense at all. So, forget about all this Snapchat Scores mystery, try improving your score with more interactions. If you are really crazy about your scores and want to be the “champion” of Snapchat I will show three quick ways to quickly get Snapchat Score.

First tip to boost your Snapchat score is by sending photos that provoke a response. Don’t send them basic photos that have no meaning. Send them photos that make them laugh or at least evoke some kind of emotion. Chances are, they’ll send you something back.

Second tip is to find people outside your social circle who would be interested in communicating with you and add them. It is very important to look for people who have a similar interest or hobby.

Final tip is keeping it natural. Don’t send anything that is unnecessary. Don’t bore your friends by sending them too many photos. This will cause them to respond less. It’s nice in a while to send them a photo of you smiling.

In summary, your Snapchat score is based on, pretty much, how often you engage with the app. Please note that these scores don’t affect how the app works or how friends can view your photos. The rest goes from that point. So if you have Snapchat, but rarely use it, then you probably aren’t earning points. Snapchat is one of those apps that you really have to be engaged with to enjoy and it’s not hard to love it. So start getting those points!

Snapchat Score in new updates (2017)

The latest updates has replaced Snapchat Best Friends with Snapchat Fiends Emjois find out what these Snapchat Emojis mean? Also check out what Snapchat Emojis Numbers mean?

Snapchat Scores still features in the new updates, unfortunately the abilities such as seeing a friend’s score within the app, or more importantly seeing a friend’s “best friend list,” are all gone. If you are one of those people who constantly looked at Snapchat Best Friends of your boyfriend or girlfriend you are no longer going to have that option. I know you will hate this.

Since the introduction of Snapchat scoring system, Snapchat Score confuses many Snapchatters. Its meaning isn't explained well within the app by the Snapchat Team. The latest Snapchat Score seems to be based on certain factors like: the number of snaps you send; the number of snaps you receive; stories you post; and trophies you unlocked and other stuffs probably.

With the scrapping of Best Friends feature, do Snapchat Score still have a significance? Well, the actual purpose of the Snapchat score is still not known, but there doesn't seem to get you any perks from having a high score. It is simply a sign of how active you are on Snapchat or simply a social status symbol.

It's possible that those who have higher scores may get access to other Snapchat features, such as premium lenses, but again, Snapchat is leaving us in the dark about this stuff at the moment and we can't really assume much about it at this point.

How to Increase Snapchat Score

As far as Snapchat Scores is concerned, Snapchat seems to keeps its specific means for calculating the Snapchat score or mechanism a closely guarded-secret, but the most direct way of increasing Snapchat Score is to increase snaps activities-bot sending and viewing/receiving Snaps. Your score increase by a point when you send out a snap to a person or your story. It also increase when you open a snap sent to you. Send your friends videos, text or photo snaps more frequently and your score will increase. However, this may be a long and hard process if you are trying to boost your score to a high level.

There are numerous websites like Snapchat Score Hack etc or methods out there claiming they can hack one's Snapchat score. However, users should really consider if the benefits of a higher Snapchat score are really worth the concomitant risks brought on by hacking.

Increasing a Snapchat Score by these means or third party apps is illegal, as Snapchat clearly stated in their Terms of Service specifically forbid the use of automated processes. According to these website or apps you simply put in a username and the desired number of score to increase, then complete “Human Verification Check,” your score will increase. Once you have entered your details, these sites may ask you to complete some surveys as they termed as “Human Verification Check,” please note that these verification process are commercial links or surveys and source of their income, which they want you to complete. If they ask you get the heck out of there. Not sure all those sites works the same, its best to avoid them just by trying to increase your score.

The only best solution to increase your Snapchat score is to increase your Snapchat activities. Hopefully we've explaining the meaning of the Snapchat score system well enough to understand it's uses and how to increase it.

Why Snapchat Score Matters

Do you care about your Snapchat scores? Well, we all care about numbers in social networking world, like the number of likes snad shares they get. Tt has become one of the pillars of social media platforms where you are judged based on the number of friends, followers, comments, views and likes. Snapchat scores indicates that you are a serious Snapchat user. It has no real impact on your overall usage, but since it appears below your Snapchat QR code, you’re probably curious as to how it’s determined. The only real purpose of Snapchat Score is to get people to use Snapchat more. So the only tried and trusted method to increase your Snapchat score is to increase snapchat activities- send more snaps to people.

How to Hide Snapchat Discover section and Live events - Snapchat Updates

This post is specially created on How to Hide Snapchat Discover section to help our readers with the new updates. Snapchat one of the hottest social networking app on the planet at the moment is making users freaking out over a new updates. Snapchat is taking some drastic steps to make sure you know about Discover,  the special section where chosen media partners (and Snapchat itself) post content for the app's millions of users. Snapchat on July 13,2015 updated its app with a redesigned Discover and Live Stories screen that sandwiches a very prominent shortcut to Discover partners right on top of the stories page.

Snapchat is trying hard to justify the $19 billion value being slapped on the company by private investors. In order to promote the Discover section, and get more hits for its media partners, Snapchat has made this drastic change and moved Discover to the top of the Stories section. Previously, Snapchatters would have had to click on a separate page in order to access the Discover content.

Depending on how you feel about Discover, the change could be somewhat annoying. The old Discover section is still around, so it's now in two places — with no way for users to toggle off the new (smarter) placement. It very much feels like Snapchat is trying to force this on users.

Snapchat Updates Receives Negative Feedback

Since its update, the app has received nearly 67,000 one-star reviews in Apple's App Store, criticizing the decision to place Discover and live events above other people's individual snap stories. The feedback is so negative that Snapchat's average review rating in the App Store has dropped from two-in-a-half to one-in-a-half stars.  And the last couple of updates don't seem to be making things better for the Snapchat team.

Snapchat Updates has causes problems on the phone

According to reviews and complaints on the app's page and various forums the latest Snapchat update delivers more than just a new look, the app drains the battery life for many iPhone and Android phone users. There are also complaints about about data usage and and memory consumption.

How to Hide Snapchat Discover section and Live events

One of the common questions is how to hide the Snapchat Discover section.  The latest doesn't include an option to hide the Discover section and the Live events Section, the only option available for hiding Discover and Live events section is to Uninstall the Snapchat Update.  This downgrade to the older will give you better battery life, lower CPU usage and the old layout which you love using, but this might takes a little time. Please follow the step by step guide on how to uninstall the updates and use the older version.

For Android:
To uninstall updates and restore Snapchat app to the version that came  installed on your Android phone or tablet, follow the steps below:

Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
Select Applications.
Select Manage Applications.
Scroll through the list of applications and choose Snapchat.
Select Uninstall updates.

For iPhone:
1. Delete the app from your iPhone.
2. Connect your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes.
3. Do not update your apps in iTunes. Back up and sync your iPhone using iTunes.
4. When the sync is complete, click your iPhone in the left iTunes menu under DEVICES. Click the Apps tab at the top of the iTunes window. Find the app you wish to downgrade under Sync Apps.
5. Make sure the box is checked next to the app you wish to downgrade. Click the Apply button.
6.The old version of the application will be copied from your computer to the iPhone.

If you have already updated the application on your computer, or synced your iPhone before deleting the new version of the app you must follow this step first. Open the trash can or recycling bin and look for the older app version (this file will end with the suffix .ipa).

Drag the old app file into the iTunes window. iTunes will ask if you want to replace the app with an older version. Confirm and begin from step one above. If the old version is not in your trash can you cannot access the older version of the app.

Snapchat Add Nearby - Snapchat Update

Snapchat in its July 2015 updates makes a pretty big change, it added new Feature called "Add Nearby" this feature is a quick way to add a group of friends when you’re all hanging out together. If everyone opens Add Nearby, a list of your friends will appear on the screen. Just tap to add.

Apart from this it also makes viewing snaps much easier instead of pressing and holding the screen to view a Snap or Story simply Tap or View. Thise means no more tired thumbs while watching a several hundred second Story.

Snapcodes also got a serious upgrade :) You can add a selfie to the center of your Snapcode, so that it’s easier for friends to recognize you when you add them on Snapchat. If you see a Snapcode in another app, just take a screenshot. You can add screenshotted Snapcodes through Add Friends.

To increase user security, Snapchat also rolled out two-factor authentication to improve Snapchat overall security. Once you enable it, bad guys will have a much harder time if they try to hack into your account.

How to Add Snapchat Add Nearby?

Add Nearby is perfect for when you meet a group of new friends and want to add them on Snapchat. Have everyone open Add Nearby at the same time to find each other. If no results appear after a minute, simply tap to search again.

To use Add Nearby, follow these steps:

1. Tap the ghost icon at the top of your camera screen.
2. Tap ‘Add Friends.’
3. Tap ‘Add Nearby’ and select ‘Ok’ to allow Snapchat to use your location for finding nearby Snapchatters.
4. Ask a friend to open Add Nearby on their phone.
5. Tap the ‘+’ sign next to your friend’s username to add them! If a friend adds you, we’ll let you know!

If you do not recognize a name, it might be a Snapchatter you haven’t met who also has Add Nearby open.

Some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Add Nearby

If I blocked an account on Snapchat, can they find me on Add Nearby?
No. Accounts you have blocked cannot see you on Add Nearby, even if you’re in close proximity and both have Add Nearby open.

Snapchat Video Zoom - How to zoom into Video while recording

Have you ever gotten tired of not being able to zoom in while recording a video in Snapchat? Well worry not Snapchatters, Snapchat’s latest update lets you zoom in and zoom out while shooting a video and it is simple!Snapchat's latest update version 9.7 introduced two new features.

The first on the changelog deals with snaps highlighted in Discover. The new features allows Snapchat users an additional way to engage with Discover, a new way to send your friends news. The recent update brings sharing capabilities of contents from Discover section to Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and LinkedIN from the app. Snapchat launched Discover few months ago that featured content from Vice, CNN, National Geographic and others however to share stories was not yet available. Now, Snapchat is finally making its media content sharable.

How to Share Discovery Content with Friends?

When you are browsing in Discover, you can now select an item to share by tapping and holding on an image, video or article. With text, the app will capture a screenshot of the portion you're currently viewing, not the entire post. It also allows Snapchatters to add a caption, doodles, and filters just as you would with any other message before sending it off. People receiving the message will see a link at the bottom that would say "Sent via Discover," directing them back to the original edition it was originally shared from.

How to Zoom in to Video in Snapchat?

The second addition is the long-awaited feature - the ability to zoom in while shooting video. So what exactly do we need to do to perform this action?
First, you will have to update you app to the latest version of Snapchat that is version 9.7.0, which you can always download form Play Store from here for Android and for iOS from here.

After you have updated your app, open up Snapchat like you normally do and hold down the record button to start shooting a video. While recording a video, simply drag another finger upward along the screen to zoom in. If you want to zoom out, just drag your finger downward. However, the video will still be shot in the vertical video format that it has been using since the beginning.

Snapchat Live Stories - A complete guide and explanation

What are Snapchat Live Stories?

Wondering what the new Stories section in Snapchat is all about? Snapchat’s Live Stories are a curated stream of user submitted Snaps from various locations and events. Users who have their location services on at the same event location will be given the option to contribute Snaps to the Live Story. The end result is a Story told from a community perspective with lots of different points view.

It has been a year since the messaging startup first introduced Live Stories, the photo and video montages that serve as look-ins on live events like the Kentucky Derby or Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign rally. And in the past six months, Snapchat has beefed up the team that curates these stories while prepping for more advertising partners to coincide with the 2016 presidential campaigns.

Snapchat’s Live Stories draw an audience of 20 million people in a 24-hour window. The three-day Live Story Snapchat did around Coachella back in April generated 40 million unique viewers, he said.

If you're a seasoned user, then you probably already know that it's a pretty nifty app for sending quick photos and videos to your friends in the most casual way possible -- because they all "self-destruct" and are automatically deleted just seconds after the recipient opens it.
But Snapchat Stories give you a brand new way to message your friends.
In fact, this feature is a lot more like a personal feed rather than a message.

How Snapchat Live Stories Works?

A Snapchat Story is a photo or video you post to your very own Stories section of your account, which is visible by you and all your friends. When you visit your "My Friends" tab in Snapchat, your username should appear at the very top, and beneath it will be a circular icon of the most recent story may have posted. Same goes for your friends.
You can tap anybody's name to trigger the dropdown menu that may show additional stories, if the user posted several of them. Stories live for 24 hours and can be viewed again and again for that period. Once the 24-hour time limit is up, they are automatically deleted.

Snapchat’s Live Stories are similar to other social media sites like Facebook’s timeline, this “slideshow” is public for all Snapchat friends. But, unlike its rivals, Snapchat’s picture/video chain feature only lasts for 24 hours–thus maintaining Snapchat’s vision of sharing media temporarily.
Anyone in the world with Snapchat can open their app, find the collection of snaps from event, and watch it as a single Snapchat Story. The feature doesn't identify who created which snaps, only showing that they were all captured at the same event.

If there is a collection from a live event in your area, it will appears in a new label marked "Live" found under the "Recent Updates" section of the app. While the feature seems tailor made for entertainment events, it could also prove to be a useful journalistic tool.
